the Magic Item we get for buying the yearly package.Â
Does that follow the rules of being a magic item?
Say I needed a Magic Item as a component for a ritual *cough*
would the yearly package Magic Item fit the criteria?

It would, but then it would cease to work if the ritual consumes it.
It cannot be stolen, need not be attuned, does not count toward the five-item limit, and cannot be transferred. At the end of the year, its power dissipates and it is no longer magical.
