Town Leader & Council

Comming into the new town I want to inform everyone of what has been discussed the past winter. 


Thank you Eiren for finding a way to post on the boards again. 

Council Members (5)

• There will be 5 members.
  
• Council will be picked each year during the gathering of the Town Leader Ritual
  
• Representative will represent no less than 5 members of the town.
  • These members of the town must be present during the time of when to vouch for their delegates.
    
  • A single towns member can only vow for one representative at a time.
    
• Council Representatives will be tasked with aiding the Town Leader in deliberating decisions for the town.
  
• Council Representatives will have the duty of informing their constituents of what was discussed in our meetings.
  

Town Leader

• Will be decided by the town via The Town Leader Ritual that has been graciously performed by Arch Mage Malachite.
  
• The Town Leader is responsible for every single towns members within a 10 mile radius.   
  
• The Town Leader will be the final word on decisions for the town, with the advisement of their council.

If the size of the town grows exceptionally large I am open to adding more heads to fit that need. 

Should every town official be present for council meetings?
Town Officials such as Magistrate, Second and Champion? Yes They should. 

How long will the positions last for ?
Position will last in a calendar year, and when we meet for the first time as a whole town again in the spring the heads can be changed out or they can run again to stay in chair. 

Are there any new positions? 

the only new position would be the title change from Juticar to Magistrate.

Correction on "Are there any new positions? " question

We are also introducing Town Scholar to aid us.

Seth Livingstone will take over this.
He will help me by writing down what goes on at town meetings so others can go and read his notes, keep track of how has payed their 1g to Town Fund (separate post coming soon), who has visited town and keep track of the skill sets and Magic items that towns members have while living in the town.
