I'm wondering what the maximum amount of gold one can place towards making an item of quality the best of quality.

You can always put more money towards something, so, unlimited.

The real question is, when do you hit the point that their is no reason to dump more in?
I would assume, given the reoccurring theme, 555 gold. However, the only valid answer that can be offered is FOIG.

beat me to it. FOIG it is. I will say this though, the cost to make a quality sword may be vastly different from the cost to make a ring of quality.

I recommend 555 gold be used as a minimum for every item.

Unicorn is indeed 5,555 gold pieces by meta evidence...
So, by that logic, 555 is Teir 3, 55 is teir 2, and anything under is probably teir one.

The question is... Does KB have 5,555 gold coins?
