Once again, your forbidden magic law is stupid, and dark clerics are our enemies, and I kill my enemies. If you help them you are picking a side. The wrong one.
It's your choice Mog, do what you want, and I will do what I must.
Honestly I am surprised you are not backing me up on this, and i'm disappointed in you.

Allow me to start off by stating I am of the Grey. I do not worship Light nor do I worship Dark, however, I strive to understand the balance of our system of Gods. You speak of "permissions" and "registering". I do not see the relevance. Does one ask permission or register to purchase a sword? When a sword is used in a crime, do we accuse the sword? No. It is a tool. Who one worships does not necessitate that they would even have the power or ability to do harm. I have seen "good" persons do "bad" things in our last two moons. Do we blame them or their gods? The same argument holds true for the so called "Forbidden" magics. Magnus, I consider you my friend and do not wish to insult but I believe the allegory of blaming the tool for the action of the user is relevant to the Mage's Guild's position as well.
I do not wish to insult anyone but these are my feelings on these matters.

"we need the town to come together and work together"

"Except dark followers. Dark followers can eat a wet sock."

I think its a bit funny that the Light followers are the ones trying to wash out the dark. I get the whole, "they worship dangerous things" deal, what with the murder and the pain and all. But, I don't see Dark followers in town being this mean to their counterparts. They've got no problem working with you guys. Some of them are really nice!

Im only posting this cause there has been a lot of back and forth and stupidity and since we're all posting our opinion and even some are even calling others stupid because of it,

I understand the want of banning dark god worship. They can actually help the fact they follow that god. Followers of a god CHOOSE to do so. Following a god dictates how you act. If you worship kull, you want to kill. You NEED to kill. This is all for keeping favor with your god.

The magic restrictions are kind of silly as Berwyn had mentioned. "Forbidden magic is called that because it has a destructive nature?" All magic has a destructive nature much like a sword is destructive. Unlike with gods, you can use these magics and still be good of heart. These days are fraught with terror and we have to use anything at our disposal. To restrict use of these is essentially restricting us weaponry.

That is probably because they are the minority. If they were to operate openly, they would be cut down by the light and grey followers that oppose them and they heavily outnumber any dark followers we have. Some people are so set in their ways that they cannot see anything other than their own way and if people try and change that then they'll get bit by those that don't change.

Um dont bring grey into this. I actually have opposite opinions of what appears to be the majority. Heres what people fail to realize. The dark gods are still gods. They still need to be worshipped. Im not saying allowing Kull worshippers to go around freely and allow them to stab everyone. But if we monitor dark worshippers there shouldnt be a problem. I mean if you oppose them that badly how about you go and tell each dark god we forbod there worship and get back to me on how that goes for you. We are already dealing with enough from a fallen god. Let's not make enemies with gods when there is no need.

All in all I think the general schematic needs to be all people following all the same rules. You can't just have some of the people following rules 1-3 while the others have to follow rules 1-6 as well as a,b,c.

Not a good working system.

Either we all follow the same rules, or eventually no one will follow any. Unless you're designing a foundation for failure. Then I mean, you're on a good path.

As fun as anarchy sounds, I can do without it. Though I do see there's enough people who don't have anything to lose, but that's just me profiling

So to conclude what I have been reading.

No one agrees with the magic ban.

Some agree with the worship conditions. Some don't. As i see it This will have to come to discussion in public council meeting until it can come to pass or be discarded. So we will hold it in limbo at the moment.

Collin, we have been arguing about this for a quarter year. First of all, I do not know much about the magic stuff, and I didn't make decision about ban forbidden magic law, so you talking to the wrong person. Second of all, I know dark worship is evil, and I know few of our townsfolk worship to Dark God, but they fought against our enemies along with us. They know what is right and wrong and they haven't commit crimes... yet as long as they stay out of troubles. Any good, neutral and evil person can commit their crimes for their reason. I just want to be fair to all of us.
