Spell PacketsÂ
To represent spell energy, we use the popular andÂ
accepted “spell packetâ€. These are small beanbag-
like pouches about the size of a ping-pong ball.Â
Spell packets are also used to represent gas globes,Â
acid vials, and Holy Water splashes.Â
To make a spell packet, cut a square of fabric about 7Â
inches by 7 inches. At the center, pour a heapingÂ
tablespoon of fine birdseed. Gather the cloth aroundÂ
the birdseed and tie it shut. Trim off any excessiveÂ
fabric or string.Â
Spell packets must be filled with fine birdseed thatÂ
has no sunflower seeds in it. We stronglyÂ
recommend millet. No other type of filling isÂ
allowed. The spell packet must be no smaller thanÂ
1½ inches in diameter and no larger than 2 inches inÂ
diameter. Spell packets must not be packed so tightlyÂ
that they are hard. Spell packets can be held shut
with string or they can be sewn shut.Â
Spell packets may be any color or pattern the builderÂ
wishes.
