Fifth, on the matter of dark worship and forbidden magics, after much debate and consideration, I have decided to increase the restraints on such things. Anyone wishing to study forbidden magics or worship dark gods must gain permission from the council, and have willingly become the designated ward of a townsfolk of good standing. Failure to comply with this will lead to swift punishments.

Ransom, the forbidden magics are as follows.

Necromancy, Blood magic, and Chaos magic.

I know a few mages that practice the forbidden arts. I'd like to keep this within the mages guild and will talk to them personally about it. I will get back to you and courier you presently

I would like to go on the record as to say that I do not practice any magick nor do I like the implementation of it, however I recognize that it is a necessary study and liked by many - as to that some are born innately to a power and learning. Saying something is forbidden isn't really right, it's just that you're scared of it. I think all magic should be studied, how else can you learn and better your abilities? I just think some people who wield it can be dangerous. Can't blame nature's power for the actions of those in tune to it. Blame them. Punish them and not all magick users. Don't make magick forbidden. That's ridiculous.

Permission shouldn't be granted to people by your manner of rule, I think if people wish to study magick they should do so under the supervision of the mage's guild. Not the council.

We of the mages guild are of the Council. The mages guild will take care of Mage buiness and make sure everything is handled correctly. The mages are of the town, therefore, we are under the decree and jurisdiction of the council.

Until there is a new and official government established by the people we must at least try and follow the government we have now.

[Ransom]

But this "government" doesn't understand what it's doing.
Not with magick.
That type of rule should be designated to mage's guild. They know better than any.
