Town Council
#91
No nobility, still class
You created positions for the sake of creating positions
People keep saying voices heard but it's just a lot or reprimanding that I see
I do a lot more than you think in this town, but hey, you're busy making a bunch of laws!

I'll go back to banging my mallet on ingots since that's all I'm good at then!

I get it, I'm easy to look over. But you can't honestly discredit my work in town just because I'm a kid. That's not fair. I've provided weapons to many of your fighters and guard along with the best armor in the realm! I'm also providing custom equipment to some of those people and some of those guilds that are far more powerful than any other basic bit of steel.

I have amazing connections outside of your home that are being utilized by some of your town as well.

So, I actually do, do a lot of work. You just choose to ignore it and negate sound advice based on a difference in age.

Also, I said do do.

But seriously!
I'm not trying to be redundant I'm trying to make it obvious to the town what can and cannot be done. Sure you fix up some rules here and there but I think a more direct hand from your public and not your council might aid your support. Making sure the town guard takes care of the town and that the town can ask of its guard is not some silly concept - it's their job! You started adding more positions. If they don't like working for or with the people they shouldn't be guards. That's like me saying "well yeah I'm a blacksmith but I don't make any weapons or armors" it's stupid!

Stop discrediting your people.
Stop telling people that they're not helping.
If they're voicing something - you're obviously doing something wrong.

Posting opinions up to these boards or saying something in person isn't avoiding doing something with the town - it's trusting its leaders to listen to your concerns. It only becomes a problem when YOU aren't doing something.

So.
Why don't you stop being a pirate and start being a leader.

We are the collection of mages from the town formed into a formal group to help it when needed. We are not tools to be thrown away when you deem broken.

I see nothing wrong with my statement. And if broken, I see no reason to keep a tool. If you are implying it should be repaired, I suppose it would depend on how useful the tool was.

Most of my dealings with a mage guild were in the past. our old guild was useless self serving and detrimental. I hope not to see such things from the new one.
However, the guild is responsible for the actions of the towns mages, plus other things. Necromancy and blood magic are only as evil and dangerous as the people using them. So, deal with them as you would any dangerous magic. help train the mages, guide them and protect them. If you cant, find someone who can.

I support Xiomora's death.
However, I do not support the idea of allowing dark magic and worship to be an acceptable action. Whether it is approved by town council or not, having darkness floating about our town has NEVER gotten us anywhere pleasant within our history. Why should we just simply accept it now?

We are fighting a war, certain sacrifices must be made.
Allowing restricted Dark Worship will allow us utilize such a force in the safest way possible.
Forbidden Magics are allowed because we need to use everything at our disposal.
It doesn't leave a pleasant taste in my mouth either, but my concern, what has always been my main concern, is the protection of our reality.

Many eyes see these boards, I am willing to divulge more information about why I have made such a heavy, and controversial decision in private, or in spoken word.

For election, count the votes in front of the group in tavern? So that no one feel about vote rigging if counts votes in a private room.

For Town Council Meeting, I am glad it change to 10 bell after finish eat breakfast.

For Xiomora's punishment, I have no problem with that, but keep in mind, that written in my book. If someone else did similar crimes as Xiomora had done, I am expected that person get same punishment. I don't care if you are male, female, light, gray, dark, races, mayor, town councils, leaders, priests, and how popular you are. Everyone get similar punishment to be fairly to everyone. No one is above the laws.

Anyone who want to study forbidden magics or worship dark gods, don't be afraid to ask town council for permission. You are not going to get into trouble for that. We will approved or reject it, we just want to keep the minimum problems in our town.

Sans, I understand you want to spare Xiomora's death penalty. We will discussion about this.

Collin, killing person who is dark worship and forbidden magics without trial may not be the best choice. It's depend on what they broke the laws.

Ranson, I agree about "All are innocent until proven guilty/All are guilty until proven innocent" This is why I written down in a book to keep record list of person and their crimes, and their punishments. I can looks back in books and check similar crimes and let Magistrate know what kind of punishments for that crimes in the past, then give them similar punishments. I don't care if you are male, female, light, gray, dark, races, mayor, town councils, leaders, priests, and how popular you are. Everyone get similar punishment to be fairly to everyone. No one is above the laws.

Mog, The voting, and counting of votes, the entire process must be held in front of everyone, so there is no foul play. having a sort of third party might also benefit this process, as in the times before.

I wholly agree with everything else you have said.
